This is a great portable range hood. It works pretty well, but it's not the best if you're in a small space. It's quite large and due to the design hard to store. It does what it's supposed to though.

Got this TUCO hood for my tiny kitchen, and it’s honestly so useful. Doesn’t take up much space and looks sleek. The filter works well, but just know you’ll need to change it every so often. Overall, very happy with it.

Our house, for whatever reason, doesn't have a hood over the oven. I didn't even know a product like this existed or I would have ordered one long ago.First off, it's pretty huge. Not sure what I expected, but it does take up a bit of space on the cooktop, probably the footprint of a medium burner.Once set up and started though, it just works. It doesn't work as quietly as the description would have you believe, probably the decibel level of fan of similar size/strength.I haven't cooked, and probably won't cook, anything terribly smelly like fish, so I can't really comment on how it does with strong odors, but it does filter out some of the smell of regular cooking.Overall, a good idea for those of us without hoods. I won't it for every meal, just the ones that seem to produce more smoke than normal (in our kitchen setup, it takes a little bit of effort to get this set up on the oven).
